STAND is proud to run inclusive Rugby and Sensory Sessions at Knox Academy in Haddington, designed specifically for neurodivergent children and young people. These sessions are generously supported by Haddington Rugby Club, whose coaches and volunteers help us create a safe and welcoming environment.
Our ASN Rugby sessions are non-contact and focus on fun, movement, and teamwork in a safe, neuro-affirming space. The sessions are paced to suit children’s needs, helping build confidence, coordination, and social skills without the pressure of competition.
Alongside this, we offer Sensory Sessions with calming activities and equipment tailored to support regulation and comfort. Using sensory toys, quiet zones, and gentle play, these sessions give children the chance to explore, engage, or take time out in a way that feels right for them.
By combining physical activity with sensory-friendly support, these sessions create a unique space where children can move their bodies, build friendships, and feel included. Parents and carers also benefit by connecting with others and seeing their children thrive in a welcoming setting.
