Dear Dani
cc Mark (Dani’s husband)
Complaint about lack of Peppa Pig books in your living room
My name is Lizzie, and I am the mother of two children, one of whom is autistic. I am writing to you to complain about the lack of available Peppa Pigs books for my child to become obsessed with while at your house to play.
Background
Last week, on Tuesday 9th May, I brought my children to your house to play. My children love coming to your house to play, and enjoy the plentiful supply of Soreen bars which have enabled them to have access to safe foods while out to play. However, when we arrived, my oldest son was raking around your bookcase, desperate to find Peppa Pig books. He had a reasonable expectation that they would be there, given that they have been there on every previous occasion that we have attended your house for a playdate. When he realised they were not there, he started to get distressed and was screaming the word Peppa repeatedly. This situation has caused me anxiety, including panic attacks and insomnia, because I am now worried about returning to your house.
My request
I would like you to:
apologise for the lack of Peppa Pig books in your house when this incident occurred; and
ensure that the next time we arrive at your house for a playdate, there is a plentiful supply of Peppa Pig books so that I can enjoy a coffee and a chat with you in space.
I am asking you to do these things as the owner of the house in which the playdate took place, and as the person in charge of which books are on the bookcase.
Next steps
We have another playdate at your house on Tuesday 30th May, so I would like confirmation from you via email by 5pm on Monday 29th May that you have a plentiful supply of Peppa Pig books on your bookcase. This will enable me to decide whether or not to attend the playdate on Tuesday 30th May.
If you do not confirm this, I will not attend the playdate and you will not benefit from my amazing company and banter. However, if you do decide to accommodate my request, I will post on Facebook that you are the best playdate host in Haddington so you are recognised accordingly.
I look forward to hearing from you by Monday 29th May. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the precise Peppa Pig books which my son prefers, please do not hesitate to contact me on info@standuk.co.uk for me to enlighten you.
I’d be grateful if you could acknowledge receipt of this email.
Thanks so much for your help.
Kind regards
Lizzie
